Position Justification:
This positions functions as lead WebSphere Administrator responsible for the supporting large State of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Health Services (DHHS) applications. Contributes considerable business and technical knowledge to complex IT projects.

Required Experience and Skills
• A total 9+ years of experience working on middleware technology as Administrator.
• Working experience of IBM WebSphere Application Server 9.x
• 5 Plus years of experience with skillsets listed.

Qualifications
• Strong skills on installation, configuration, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning and Production Support for WebSphere, IBM HTTP web server in enterprise cluster environments on Linux/Unix platforms.
• Strong skills in Production issue Root cause Analysis, analyze Production Incident/issues and identify root cause, and find the permanent solutions.
• Good knowledge and experience in Java programming, experience with Java Code Management is desired and a plus.
• Works closely with infrastructure team to help design infrastructure requirements for middleware components to ensure high resilience and stability in production and recoverability in a DR environment.
• Having Shell/Python/Perl Scripting experience will be a plus.
• Problem resolution and troubleshooting, including Information collection, problem identification and analysis, identification of solution or interim workarounds and RCA documentation.
• Must have experience in configuring data sources for different vendor databases.
• Must have experience in managing SSL digital certificates in IBM WAS
• Deployment of applications or system changes as requested by operations peer.
• Install, configure, and maintain IBM Datacap
• Install, configure, and maintain Datacap and FileNet Solutions with Optimized Business continuity capabilities High Availability, Load Balancing, and Disaster Recovery
• Hands-on working knowledge of OpenShift & Kubernetes
• Experience with Orchestration tools such as Helm
• Experience with automation tools.
• Knowledge and experience with Elastic stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) version 6.X and higher.
• Experience with Agile methodology
• Hands-on experience with migration, support, and re-platforming of legacy applications.
• Experience with 24/7 problem solving in an existing, complex environment including monitoring disk, CPU and network performance anomalies and the ability to act immediately upon system and/or network performance alarms.
