Job Title / Description:
The NC DHHS is looking for a Strong Manual Software Tester / Analyst with working knowledge of software and test design, with the capability to quickly learn application functionality to assist with testing the backlog of change requests and system enhancements. The Software Tester must have excellent communication skills in order to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders and gain understanding of the CVMS software. The Software Tester will be responsible for designing test scripts and test case scenarios, as well as use pre-developed test scripts. The Software Tester will be responsible for all testing to include user acceptance, regression, Data conversion, and end-to-end tests to ensure software usability. The Software Tester will conduct tests, analyze the results, and report observations. The Software Tester will attend requirements development meetings, design and development meetings, and will provide input on software design and potential issues. The Software Tester will review and provide input on CVMS technical documentation and will interact hands-on within the CVMS system performing tasks to gain understanding of the functionality of the software. The Software Tester will create strategies for testing software and will be responsible for ensuring that software meets all business, functional and system requirements, program standards and Test Plan requirements before identifying it as ready for implementation.

Software Tester / Analyst Job Duties(including, but not limited to):
• Participate in all testing phases, including functional, system, integration
• Responsible for QA delivery of test scenarios, scripts and execution results
• Responsible for writing manual test cases covering: Positive, Negative and End-to-End scenarios.
• Responsible to create corresponding test data for each test case
• Create regression test cases for business process flows
• Perform thorough analysis of requirements specifications and design documents using structured techniques to identify testable conditions
• Create test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow
• Conduct tests and undertake analysis of results to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and/or client requirements
• Support Senior QA Analyst/QA Manager in upward stakeholder management and day-to-day management of the testing activities
• Proficient in the English language, including the ability to listen, understand, read and communicate effectively both in writing and verbally in a professional environment
• Experience with analyzing and solving problems of a complex nature
• Experience working with business, management and technology concepts
• Should work as a team player and demonstrate technical skills or knowledge
• Demonstrate project management, teaming, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
