Onsite Windows Admin/Desktop Support Engineer with Nutanix (must), PRTG, and patching experience

Location: Raleigh NC (Office of the State Auditor)
Duration: 6 months
Positions: 2 (2/2)
Interview: Either Webcam Interview or In Person
**Contractors will initially be onsite until trained and performance is verified (likely 2 weeks or so). There is an option to work remotely after that time, but the contractor needs to be in NC and available for face-to-face needs.

Skills:
Experience in the Nutanix environment and doing health checks Required 1 Years
Experience in Windows Server – patching, creating servers, updating, checking install status, scheduling restarts Required 3 Years
Familiar with PRTG and handling PRTG messages/alerts Required 1 Years
Experience patching laptops (Windows 10) and checking installs Required 1 Years
Ability to work independently once given a task. Also able to work with the team to distribute work. Required 5 Years

Expected Skills: Able to work without assistance; can provide limited leadership to others; able to manage medium complexity work efforts; may have industry experience.

Description (including, but not limited to):
1. Responsibility for operations and troubleshooting of system environments, Server back up and security
2. Performance tuning and capacity planning
3. Analysis of system logs and identification of potential issues with computer systems; troubleshooting of reported problems
4. Migration and integration of new technologies and functionalities into existing system environments
5. Management of user accounts

Specific duties that would be expected:
-Nutanix messages, health check
-PRTG messages
-Patching – Servers, Checking install status, scheduling restarts
-Patching – laptops, checking install status, vulnerability remediation plans from Tenable list
-App Deployments (as needed) – create deployment package, testing, checking install status
-Tickets (share access, error messages)
