Warehouse and Logistics WMS Process Analyst

The applicant will review, analyze, and evaluate warehouse & logistics business systems and user needs in including future state for Manhattan Warehouse Management System.

Applicant will work with the business owner and design team to review and update business processes, must have experience with business process engineering to solve business problems and make the business more effective and must be familiar with warehouse industry standards, technologies, and business process mapping,

ABOUT THE ROLE

The applicant will assist in the preparation of design and testing documents. Write detailed description of user needs, work functions, and steps required to develop or modify warehouse & logistics systems. Facilitate the business requirement gathering. Document and provide knowledge transfer to the rest of the Team. The applicant must rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The applicant will perform a variety of tasks simultaneously working in a matrixed environment. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

DAY TO DAY:

– Provide business analysis support for project requests
– Work with technical teams to plan and conduct project design sessions prior to development iterations to identify and specify logical system design
– Elicit and document business requirements, business processes and flows
– Articulate user system requirements
– Assist users with UAT, if needed
– Make recommendations for the logical design of business solution enhancements
– Work with IT team as liaison to communicate business requirements
– Have full understanding of business vision
– Make recommendations to business on best practices
– Proficiency with MS Office 2016 or greater (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
– Process Flows
– Cost / Benefit Analysis
– Effectively facilitate meetings

Coordinate with BSAs to support:
– Documentation of user system and technical requirements
– Recommendations for the logical design of system enhancements
– Data Mapping
– Understanding and communication of how change to a component/application impacts the whole system

Skills:
– MS Office Proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
– Requirements gathering and documentation
– Process Flows
– Cost / Benefit Analysis
– Proven knowledge of Warehouse and/or logistics systems

Preferred: Familiar with commercial Warehouse Management System solutions (Manhattan preferred or comparable Warehouse Management solution such as Red Prairie, Oracle Warehouse Management or common industry peripherals (Baumer Sorting solution, Integrated rack and conveyor, Bastian Systems, JDA))
