Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies. Knowledgeable and experienced in IT security issues and solutions.

• COMPTIA SECURITY+, OR OTHER SIMILAR CERTIFICATIONS
• EXPERIENCE WITH INFORMATION SECURITY FRAMEWORKS OR PROGRAMS

Responds to and diagnoses problems through discussions with users and business partners using problem recognition, research, isolation and resolution steps for the Office of the State Treasurer (STO).

Manages, supports, and enhances the organization’s relationships with technology/security related vendors, including the Department of Administration’s DTO, DIS, EPO, and PMO.

Provides support to, liaises, and leverages service level agreements with vendors/product support teams.

Assists in the administration and continuing implementation of the agency’s comprehensive Information Security & Privacy Policy (ISPP). Leads audits, annual compliance and risk exceptions with vendors.

Researches and assists in the development and implementation of security related policies and training programs in accordance with STO, State and industry best practices and guidelines.

Conducts regular security assessments and reviews. Writes security-related incident reports as required.

Reviews, makes recommendations, and updates the agency’s Business Continuity and Emergency Action Plans.

Serves as secondary member of the agency’s helpdesk response team. Responds to user incidents and service requests, issue timely diagnosis and ensure timely resolution of issues involving the STO’s software and hardware solutions. Provide technical expertise and assistance to management and staff. Maintain familiarity with industry trends and technological improvements.

Job Description: ***This is a State of Emergency Request due to the COVID-19 crisis. Per the amendment to the solicitation, candidates will be shortlisted to the Hiring Manager as they are submitted into Beeline and not held for the 7 days. The Hiring Manager is required to interview a minimum of three candidates but may select a candidate to hire anytime within the 7 days that this request is open. The request will be placed on hold at the time a candidate is selected for hire or after 7 days whichever comes first.***

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
ALL WITHIN PROJECT SCHEDULES AND OTHER DEFINED DEADLINES:
• Develop and maintain security processes and procedures
• Ensure Agency is in compliance with Cyber Security Framework (CSF)
• Ensure vendors are in compliance with CSF
• Use critical thinking to help develop solutions for Agency and vendor compliance issues
• Assist with documentation and reporting as necessary
