Minimum Qualifications
• Five (5) years’ experience in Project Management role
• Two (2) engagements lasting more than twelve (12) months in Application Development Project Manager role

Description of Project
Correctional Operations Management System Family (COMS) is an application family consisted of over 70 modules which collects and tracks data about 16,000+ offenders that are committed to the Commissioner of Corrections. COMS is critical to the department’s operations. Every business unit, within the agency, uses this system on a daily basis for their own unique and complex business processes. Additionally, data from COMS is shared with other state agencies, law enforcement, counties, federal government and the public.

This position will lead multiple concurrent application development projects related to the modernization of our Correctional Operations Management System (COMS) family of applications. Teams consists of 5-15 IT members comprising BA’s, .NET developers, SQL Server database developers, Quality Analysts as well as a varying number of business staff. Development process is iterative. Candidate will need to utilize strong leadership and people skills to create strong relationships with team members and to learn the business need, goals & objectives, scope, and risks of these projects.

Most work will be conducted onsite at 1450 Energy Park Drive, St. Paul, MN 55108. The selected Resource must be willing to travel to various prison facilities and/or field services offices as needed for the position.
