Preferred Education/Certifications: Cisco Certification (CCNP or Higher) Bachelor’s Degree or Higher
Scope of the Project: Provides technical expertise for the various projects currently being worked on by Network Services. Example projects include: various agency moves, development of a reference network architecture; VPN device migration, firewall migrations, development of processes and procedures, development of a NAC solution, network implementation for the migration of computer and storage from agency data centers to the State Data Center, set up ACI Lab, etc. Must obtain and maintain security certifications for HIPPA, FTI, and CJIS.
Daily Duties/Responsibilities: Oversees Network Services projects; attends project meetings; works with Project Managers to ensure documentation is correct, progress is reported accurately, and timelines are met; recommends solutions for technical issues; recommends changes to network architecture; tests new network configurations; reports on projects, designs and test results.
