Local .Net Developer with Oracle PL/SQL, MVC, JSON, SSL/TLS, CSS3 and government experience

Location: Austin TX (DFPS)
Duration: 4 months (In-person Interview MUST)

Minimum Requirements:
Years Skills/Experience
6 Experience designing, creating, and overseeing .NET Web applications for large, complex, high-availability systems.
6 Experience conducting design sessions with subject matter experts and business process owners to meet data requirements.
4 Experience with .NET 3.0 or higher version.
4 Experience with Oracle PL/SQL
4 Experience with MVC (model-view-controller)
4 Experience with Web technologies HTML5, CSS3, SSL/TLS, and JSON
3 Experience with .NET 4.0 or higher version.
Strong Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Skills are needed to interact with staff, users, and leadership.
Strong Knowledge of Visual Studio Professional 2015.
Strong Ability to work with development tools; with an in-depth understanding of technical design.
Strong Ability to work independently in a diverse team environment and with local and remote teams.
Strong Analytical and critical thinking skills.
Strong Knowledge of software development and methodologies.

Preferences:
Years Skills/Experience
4 Experience developing quality solutions with tight deadlines.
2 Public sector experience (e.g., Federal, State, and/or Local Government)

DFPS is developing enhancements to a recently deployed application to include a new agency division/program services. The services are similar but different. The work involves updating existing and adding new functionality to support the stakeholder and service provider(s) business processes. The updates will also address new federal reporting requirements.

The workers must have strong .NET Web development experience, with a working knowledge of .NET version 4.0 or above and Visual Studio Professional 2015. The worker(s) must have also worked with Oracle and Web technologies. Additionally, the worker(s) must have extensive experience with the following:
• Developing .NET solutions using MVC design based on functional specifications
• Solid understanding of Oracle PL/SQL
• Web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, SSL/TLS, and JSON
• Adhering to software development processes and standards
• Preparing detailed documentation
• Generating work estimates in an SDLC environment

The workers must be familiar with data base structures, and reporting platforms as well as be able to work as a member of an existing .NET development team to ensure work complies with the standards and all software artifacts are prepared accurately in a timely fashion. The worker must also be quality conscious and be dedicated to delivering quality products on time and on budget.
