Developer/Programmer – Expert

The North Carolina Department of Information Technology – Transportation (NCDIT – Transportation) is seeking a Developer/Programmer – Expert for an approximately 12-month engagement on the Department’s preconstruction, civil rights and labor enhancement and maintenance work assigned to the SPECS IT team. This position is an integral part of ongoing NCDOT’s application work assigned to enterprise application services. Of particular interest is the ability of this position to provide advanced developer skills in transitioning from the current client server enterprise application, to the AASHTOWare Project application for three major business units. Critical functionality to be delivered for our customers includes the ability to create projects, attach to proposals, smoothly execute a letting, as well as enter certified payrolls, track contractor prime and sub contractor payments, and evaluate contractor compliance. This position will be responsible for development of interfaces with other system applications, report development, and implementing requirements. It is critical this position be filled as soon as possible in order for the SPECS IT team to maintain the current level of support for these applications. This position will be assigned to a cubicle on the west side of New Hope Center
