NC DHHS is seeking a short term (1 year) contractor to serve as Project Manager for the purpose of leading and directing the Earned Value Management activities as well as assisting in the management of the overall Project Schedule for the Office of MMIS Services, Replacement MMIS DDI Project. Responsibilities may include but will not be limited to providing project management and oversight support in the areas of: developing and monitoring all state and federal reporting aspects for the Project, developing and monitoring project execution against the plan, and project related processes and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
1. The selected individual must be highly organized and have the ability to lead both financially and technically complex projects with expertise in Earned Value Management reporting as well as detailed schedule management.
2. Ability to work with subject matter experts as well as stakeholders in order to both document and validate project execution processes.
3. Knowledge of the management of concurrent large project / program management best practices and SDLC considerations appropriate for multi-year, multi-release, concurrent project solution delivery.
4. Ability to consult with senior level decision-makers on an on-going basis, to develop long-range and or short-range strategic alternatives.
5. Ability to solve problems of high complexity and serve as a key resource to others.
6. Experience in the NC ITS EPMO project oversight and approval process.
7. Knowledge of Medicaid and experience in the implementation of Medicaid Management Information Systems.
8. Current PMI PMP Certification
