The NC Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a short term (approx. 12 month) contractor. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

. Supervision of subordinate members of the project team, including the assignment of work to other technical team members.

. Experience with managing large projects . General/Detail design . Business process analysis . Detailed program specifications . Coding . Debugging . Implementation planning and testing . Addressing and recommending solutions to technological issues or operational problems . Project tracking, implementation planning and Interface testing.

. Interpreting federal regulations Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Requirements:

 

Required:

Minimum of (8) eight years experience in the programming and design of large scale IBM mainframe based systems using:

. DB2, Telon, Cobol, CICS, Streamweaver, CA and BMC Utilities . Finalist, AFP Print, Connect Direct and Secure FTP, SPUFI, QMF,JCL, XPEDITER . Easytrieve Plus and File-aid and File-aid DB2 and CyberFusion.

. Considerable familiarity with structured system development methodologies, and programming languages.

. Extensive experience in Financial Subsystem Maintenance and development in a large scale IBM mainframe environment.

. Extensive experience supporting direct deposit and debit card processing . Experience in data transfer and interface methodologies between Mainframes, and Mainframe to Servers in a statewide and nationwide environment.

. Experience interpreting federal regulations and determining the impact on the existing legacy environment

 

Preferred:

Experience in State or Federal Government Child Support System
