Date Warehouse Developer with Java, SQL, ETL, T/SQL, SQL Server, RSI tax software and tax/fianance/government experience

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
The following application tasks are expected to be executed by the Data Warehouse systems/application analyst.  All tasks will involve some degree of up front analysis prior to development or execution, as well as several phases of system and user acceptance testing.
These tasks/skills do not include database administration support or technical infrastructure support tasks, as these responsibilities fall under a different support area within the SCDOR IRM organization.  
•Work with SCDOR Operations & Support team to set up the new “Model Office/User Acceptance Test” environment, including virtual machines (servers) and databases.
•Install the PW software in successive environments, from “Sandbox” to “Development” to “Model Office/User Acceptance Test.”
•Apply release upgrades in all environments as they become available.
•Coordinate testing efforts in all environments; log defects and track until resolved.  Create work items for other Data Warehouse team members as appropriate.
•Testing must include, at minimum:
oPreparing and loading of data into the Data Warehouse using the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) tools.  
oSetting up and running the PW Associate and Grow (A&G) offline process for data cleansing and matching.    
oDevelopment of tax calculations via the PW “Tax Calc” component.  
oCreating and executing “views” to be utilized by the PW audit selection process.  
oTesting all application level configurations and parameters for the PW product.  In addition to items listed above, these include various system reference codes, workflow rules, scoring parameters, correspondence templates, as well as configuration of various 3rd party products such as Group 1, SSA, and DT Studio.
oTesting of PW offline processes.These include primary indicator, legacy system gateway, nightly data refresh process, and collections scoring. 
•Work with senior RSI onsite support and the RSI Solutions Center to diagnose and resolve issues, and to apply patches and hot fixes as needed.
•Prepare final package of software and data for migration to Production environment.
•Ensure that all installation tasks, test results, and component configurations are fully documented.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
The successful candidate will have, at minimum, the following skills:
•Experience and expertise in software installation and implementation.
•Experience and expertise in software testing; familiarity with testing methodologies and preparation of test plans.
•Experience and expertise in isolation and diagnosis of software defects, including use of diagnostic tools such as monitors and traces.
•Experience and expertise in gathering and analyzing business user requirements.
•Proficiency in Java development.  
•Experience and expertise in SQL, including development of T/SQL queries and data manipulation.  Expert knowledge of databases and relational database concepts.Experience with SQL Server 2005 required.
•Experience with Windows XP operating system and the Windows 2003/2008 server environment.
•Experience with Data Warehouse concepts, including the use of Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) tools and creation of data marts.
•Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.  
•Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with business users, management, vendors, and peers. 
•Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.  Ability to complete assignments on time. 
•Understanding of deployment methodology concepts including design, build, testing, and deployment.
The individual will operate with very limited supervision, within standards and processes established for the SCDOR Data Warehouse and over-all Agency and IRM procedures.  SCDOR systems include extremely sensitive and confidential information; position requires complete discretion and trustworthiness.  The individual must be customer oriented, and attentive to the needs of Data Warehouse users.
