Mandatory Requirements
2. Proficient with Microsoft Active Directory administration.
3. Proficient in the installation and configuration of Windows Server based application software.
4. Proficient in identification and remediation of server configuration, network, and peripheral issues involving:
a) Authentication and authorization
b) Client/server software
c) Network/local printers
d)SAN connectivity
5. Proficient with installation and configuration of computer hardware and peripherals.
6. Proficient in the management of Microsoft DNS, DHCP, & WINS services.
7. Proficient with installation and configuration of Citrix Presentation Server and the configuration of published applications.
8. Experience with the creation, configuration, & management of virtual servers running under VMware.
9. Proficient in the configuration of IIS6 & IIS7 in support of .net custom applications and COTS software.
10. Experience in the management of SQL Server 2005 clustering services & patch management.
11. Experience in the management or installation of RSA Security products SecurID or ClearTrust
12. Proficient in technical writing and developing/documenting administrator standards and procedures.
13. Proficient in end-user support.
14. Effective English language verbal and written communication skills
2. Experience administering or installing XENSERVER and XENDesktop.
3. Experience administering VMware View.
4. Experience installing and configuring Microsoft Sharepoint.
5. Managing VMware 4x or newer host installs: patch management, and clustering.
6. Experience working for a large governmental agency.
Job Description:
Under direction of the Client Manager, the system engineer will provide onsite technical support to the staff and Facility Information Center Coordinators. Work assignments will include, but may not be limited to:
• Assist in the installation and configuration of custom and commercially written software employed by the client on the Microsoft Windows Server platform.
• Assist in the installation and configuration of server and related network hardware, storage devices, and other peripherals employed by the client and related to the Microsoft Windows Server platform.
• Develop and maintain accurate and thourough documentation for all assigned projects and problem resolutions.
• Troubleshoot all Microsoft Windows Server components and Active Directory problems and issues and provide input on configuration settings.
• Troubleshoot all custom and commercial applications installed to the client's Microsoft Windows Server platforms and provide input on configuration settings.
• Utilize 3rd party utilities to facilitate problem resolution.
• Submit weekly reports of completed and outstanding tasks and issues.
• Adhere to OMH software installation and migration standards and procedures.
• Research and recommend best practices for administering the Microsoft Windows Server environment.
• Research, recommend, and incorporate the highest security settings possible on all software configured for the client's server environment and report possible security issues.
• Mentor staff and conduct knowledge transfer on all assigned projects.
