Position: Data Management/Datawarehousing using Cognos
DueDate:October 15

Duration: 18 Months
Required Skills:
1. Reputable Bachelors degree required; advanced degree preferred or
equivalent work experience
2. IBM Cognos technical certification required; IBM Certified Solution
Expert – Cognos 8 BI preferred
3. Usually has 8+ years of consulting or similar work experience in a
technical role with general industry knowledge; with a reputable
Master degree 6+ years of experience may be acceptable
4. Proven ability to manage and direct the activities of the
Enterprise Solution team
5. Proven ability to derive architectural and functional strategies
from business goals
6. Proven ability to establish influential partnerships with C-level executives
7. Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, interpersonal,
and leadership skills

Secondary responsibilities include
1. Works with the Project Manager to develop and carryout the
Implementation plan
2. Utilizes expertise in a highly specialized technology areas to
direct team activities
3. Participates in a wide range of architecture activities spanning multiple
technologies/platforms
4. Enables project teams to understand and effectively implement
Enterprise Solutions
5. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with team members,
clients, and executives
6. Serves as a Peer Advisor for DCP staff and as mentor technical individuals

Model responsibilities include:
1. Data Management Consulting including data warehouse/mart implementation, data
2. migration, business intelligence, and other information management
technologies
3. Application systems design, integration, and testing, where an
application may be built
3. on: IBM Cognos 8, MS SQL Server, and other commercially available
or custom built
software
4. Provides direction and architectural leadership for the creation of
innovative solutions
from scratch
5. Identifies and investigates high-risk, high return technologies
within existing divisions
6. Investigates, recommends, and oversees technical solutions for
complex problems
7. Reviews and evaluates all activities performed by the team and
takes action for
improvement
8. Ensures high quality training for the resources to make them more
productive and
competent
9. Needs to interact with other groups to ensure effective
implementation of initiatives
10. Champions architectural design, strategic direction, and overall
program development
11. Functions as a mentor and consultant to individuals and teams for
providing direction with regards to tasks, assignments, and/or
projects and career growth
