IN041 JAVA Developer (Programmer/Analyst II)

Candidates for each position must have all of the types and durations listed as follows of mandatory technical experience required for the position to be eligible for consideration. Non-mandatory technical requirements are desirable and will be scored based on level of experience. Technical experience may be concurrent.

MANDATORY Requirements:

NOTE: Candidates who do not meet all of the following mandatory requirements will not be considered for further evaluation and the entire proposal will be deemed non-responsive.

  1. A minimum of four (4) years experience in developing web applications in a J2EE version 1.4 or higher application server environment.
  2. A minimum of four (4) years experience in writing Java Applications version 1.4 or higher using a framework based on the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture.
  3. A minimum of two (2) years experience in Oracle 9i (or above) SQL databases.
  4. A minimum of two (2) years experience with IBM Rational ClearCase Version 6.0 or higher.
  5. A minimum of two (2) years experience with IBM Rational ClearQuest Version 6.0 or higher.
  6. A minimum of two (2) years experience with Eclipse or Eclipse-based IDE (integrated development environment).

DESIRABLE Experience:

(Scores will be assigned based on the length of the experience)

  1. Experience in OOD (object oriented development) concepts and UML (unified modeling language).
  2. Experience with Struts 2.0 or later.
  3. Experience writing/using stored procedures with Oracle 9i (or above) SQL databases.
  4. Experience designing XHTML and CSS (cascading style sheets).
  5. Experience writing JSPs (JavaServer Pages).
  6. Experience using FileNet P8.

Duties: analysis and design of website and data collection system, including the transformation of business requirements into system functionality; designs system architecture and user interface;  responsible for software development and maintenance tasks including coding, testing, and implementation;  and prepares technical and user documentation.

Examples of JAVA Developer activities and responsibilities that will be required of the Contractor in this project include, but not limited to:

  • Design system architecture and develop system models;
  • Develop and/or modify technical and/or design specifications, technical writing and documentation;
  • Develop web pages and user interfaces;
  • Software development and maintenance tasks including coding, testing, and implementation.
