Skill Set
Java Web Development Skill Sets: JAVA, J2EE, J2SE, JDBC, JSP, EJB, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JSTL, Jquery, Struts 1 & 2, Spring, Hibernate, Eclipse,
Databases: Informix, or Oracle, or DB2, MySQL.
Web App servers: Tomcat, Apache
Version Control: Subversion, or equivalent source version control tool
Not Mandatory but desired: 1 . Has familiarity with NIEM (National Information Exchange Model) development standards. 2. Has familiarity / experience with mobile device application development.

This role is responsible for building and maintaining new and existing web-based applications, web sites and other technical solutions to meet the Utah Department of Correction’s and the Board of Pardons and Parole’s operational and administrative needs. This position requires a high level of expertise and broad experience in Java web application development and architecture, must be able to work on multiple projects at a time, and work well in teams. This position may engage on projects involving interfacing with vendors developing of applications for mobile devices, or cross agency collaborations on sharing information between separate systems and databases.

Each bid will be scored on the following Criteria:
50% – Java Web Development Skill Sets level of expertise
10% – Years of direct web development experience on medium to large size core software applications
5% – Database and Web App Server environments
5% – Familiarity/experience with NIEM, and mobile apps
30% – Vendor Bill rate.
