Java SDET/Automation Tester with Scrum, GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Agile, ATDD/TDD, AWS, Selenium, Cucumber, Protractor, Mocha, Postman, ReadyAPI, JMeter, REST Assured library, SQL Server/Oracle and financial experience

The Sr. SDET will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive suites of automation test plans and test cases, maintaining and adding to existing automation framework, continued evaluation of test cases for inclusion in regression, automation for newly integrated features, and development of toolsets to augment QA and Development testing.
Will work closely with Software Engineers in a Scrum team to deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner.
This is a hands-on, full development lifecycle role which provides an opportunity to solve complex business, data and technical challenges.
This individual will be responsible for guidance and mentoring as well. May be asked to provide guidance and advise on the best coding practices to use in various scenarios. In order to provide this guidance they should a strong Java focused background and an understanding around GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Maven, Agile
The team supports the backend automation framework for various teams within T. Rowe – this person will need to understand the best way to utilize and support this framework that is in place.
A proponent of strong collaborative software engineering techniques and methods: agile development, continuous integration, code review or pairing, unit testing, refactoring and related approaches

Qualifications:
At least 5 years’ experience building/supporting test automation for JAVA applications with a solid hands-on Java development background
Experience working within a Scrum team and solid understanding Agile principles
Understanding and experience in ATDD, TDD, and test automation
Must have recent experience working with AWS
Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Protractor, Mocha, Postman, ReadyAPI, and JMeter.
Strong analytical skills along with leadership/mentoring experience
Experience with REST Assured library.
Solid database querying knowledge. Preference for MS SQL Server, Oracle a plus
Familiarity with a variety of programming styles (e.g. OO, functional) and in-depth knowledge of design patterns required.
Strong interpersonal skills; able to establish and maintain a close working relationship with quantitative researchers, traders and senior business people alike
Confident communicator; able to argue a point concisely and deal positively with conflicting views.
