6 Expert in Java development using JEE platforms
6 Experience in Oracle SQL & PL/SQL
5 Experience in SOAP and Restful Web Services
5 Technical Documentation including Design Documents, Standards, and Configuration Plans
4 Expert in Spring Framework
3 Experience in Hibernate ORM
3 Working knowledge of Test Automation (Selenium, LoadRunner, Accessibility testing) and the ability to troubleshoot integrations with HP ALM
2 Expert in Angular Framework

The DFPS Information Resource Management (IT Division) seeks a worker(s) to perform in a Developer role to assist in planning and coordinating continued modernization development activities for the DFPS complex casework management system. The worker will work with technical teams comprising of technical team leads, developers, user interface/user experience engineers, and technical/functional testing analysts. The worker will facilitate meetings, elicit project details and document requirements for development projects focused on continuing modernization activities of existing DFPS Enterprise Java web applications including IMPACT, PEIRS, SSCC, Child Placement Portal, Incentives and Remedies and Community Based Care. The worker will also work in concert with various technical leads (e.g., PMO, CTO, and Systems Development Resources) to prioritize assigned work and develop recommendations, options, and/or alternatives as required.

A Developer is responsible for the modernization of existing DFPS’s Enterprise web applications, following established standards, quality attributes, and design specifications. They will be working on teams consisting of up to 9 members including Developers, UX engineers, Business Analysts, and Project Manager. This role is responsible for the following:

• Define and Develop low-level design documents
• Development of Code
• Peer review of Code
• Resolution of Defects
• Development of automated test harnesses and automated unit test cases.
• Six or more years of experience with Enterprise level Java applications
• Work closely with Business Analysis and Project Management in executing the assigned development work.
• Lead the design and development activities for existing and new components.
• Technical background with progressive experience with various versions of programming languages and frameworks.
• Experienced with Full stack development capabilities including Database, Services, Web Applications, and Front-end development.
