DVS IT Administrative Specialist
THIS IS NOT A HELP DESK ROLE! This person will be supporting the IT team as a IT Proj Coordinator/Admin and background within IT is required.

The IT Administrative Specialist operates in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment and is an integral member of the DVS Information Technology Division (ITD). This position reports directly to the DVS Chief Information Officer (CIO)

The IT Administrative Specialist is responsible for the organization and coordination of the DVS IT Division office operations, procedures, and resources to facilitate organizational effectiveness and efficiency. The IT Administrative Specialist provides operational support to the Dept. of Veterans Service headquarters office with assigned duties involving a combination of business process execution, data analysis and management, training and documentation tasks, and performance monitoring and task coordination.

The IT Administrative Specialist provides administrative and programmatic support to the DVS CIO and all of his direct reports. Performs duties in support of the Information Technology Division and all sections that exist under this division: IT Engineering and Support, Cybersecurity and Risk Management, VITA Program Management, and Emergency Coordination Management. This position will: ensure IT databases, spreadsheets, and various other documents are accurate and properly managed, manage and perform IT helpdesk and telecommunications functions, prepare reports and communications for the CIO, and assist the CIO with providing oversight duties to ensure the ITD is operating efficiently and effectively.
