IBM WAS Admin/Architect with Linux, Jython, wsadmin, shell scripting, Perl, AppDynamics, ITCAM, Security/TLS, JDBC/JNDI/JAAS/JMS, CICD/Jenkins, Ant, active directory, EAP, Tomcat, AIX and government experience

Minimum Requirements:
Years Skills/Experience
7 Experience with middleware system architecture, development, implementation, and administration
3 Experience with migration of WebSphere Application Server version 8.5.5 or similar to RedHat Linux platform
3 Experience with Jython automation scripts and WebSphere wsadmin scripting tool for automating customized WAS configurations and JEE application deployments
3 Experience with various automation scripts such as Linux Shell Scripts, Perl scripts, etc.
3 Experience with WebSphere system performance and Application Performance Monitoring Tool such as AppDynamics or IBM ITCAM
3 Experience with WebSphere system security including TLS 1.2
3 Experience with JEE services including but not limited to: JDBC driver, JNDI Data Sources, JAAS, JMS etc.
3 Experience in completing system documentations
3 Experience with highly complex application security requirements

Preferences:
Years Skills/Experience
5 Experience working with JEE application builds using CICD tools including Jenkins integration with IBM JDK, Ant scripts, Microsoft AD, etc.
5 Public sector experience (Federal, State or Local Government)
5 Experience with middleware systems including RedHat EAP 7, Tomcat 8, etc.
3 Experience in AIX and Windows platforms.
2 Proficient with the Microsoft Office products, including Word, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint

The Worker will perform highly advanced design and development work as part of a project team with direction and guidance from Project Manager, Applications Services management and CPA WebSphere-JEE Build Lead Architect. The Worker must have strong hands-on technical experience with:
• WebSphere migration from AIX to RedHat Linux and
• proven success architecting, developing and implementing technical solutions for a large enterprise middleware system.
The worker will also provide detailed instruction and documentation for knowledge transfer and training on project work.

Onsite Requirements: Worker will be required to work on site with the team. Working remotely will be limited and must be pre-approved by the Direct Supervisor.

• Must be able to work with Technical Staff, Managers, Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in a professional and collaborative manner to define strategies and implementation approaches.
• Must prepare all required artifacts accurately and in a timely fashion.
• Must possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently in a team environment with local and remote teams
• Must possess knowledge of project management methodologies both traditional and Agile/Scrum
• Must possess problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task with readiness to put in extra efforts when necessary
• Must perform related work as assigned
• Must be familiar with Microsoft office tools including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
