REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA AND EXPERIENCE IN OFFICE AUTOMATION SYSTEMS, DATA COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM DESIGN, INSTALLATION, OPERATION, REPAIR, SALES OR MARKETING, OR PROCESSING OF INFORMATION IN A DATA PROCESSING ENVIRONMENT OR RELATED SYSTEMS. AN ASSOCIATE’S DEGREE OR A BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN A RELATED FIELD MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR THE REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE.

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
APPLICANT MUST BE ABLE TO ASSIST WITH THE ITS SUPPORT OF COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN AND DRAFTING (CADD) INITIATIVES FOR THE PRECONSTRUCTION, TRAFFIC AND RIGHTS OF WAY OFFICES UNDER THE MANAGEMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES (ITS) ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY & RESEARCH (ETR) DEPARTMENT.
MANAGES THE COORDINATION INSTALLATION, OPERATION, TROUBLESHOOTING, MAINTENANCE, CONFIGURATION, DEPLOYMENT AND REPLACEMENT OF CADD WORKSTATIONS AND SOFTWARE.
APPLICANT WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE ONSITE FOR 37.5 HOURS A WEEK WITHIN THE SCDOT HEADQUARTERS BUILDING TO PROVIDE IT SUPPORT FOR THE PRECONSTRUCTION, TRAFFIC AND RIGHTS OF WAY OFFICES.

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. MONITORS CADD RELATED HELP DESK TICKETS ISSUED BY THE HELP DESK AND ASSISTS WITH THE RESOLUTION REQUESTS. PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR PC HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE FOR CADD END-USERS.
2. MANAGES THE COORDINATION INSTALLATION, OPERATION, TROUBLESHOOTING, MAINTENANCE, CONFIGURATION, DEPLOYMENT AND REPLACEMENT OF CADD WORKSTATIONS AND SOFTWARE.
3. INSTALLS AND UPDATES ENGINEERING AND CADD SOFTWARE AS NEEDED.
4. INSTALLS HARDWARE AND PERIPHERAL COMPONENTS SUCH AS MONITORS AND KEYBOARDS.
5. INSTALLS COSIGN FOR NEW USERS, CREATES A CUSTOM SIGNATURES IF NEEDED AND INTEGRATES SIGNATURES WITH ADOBE ACROBAT OR BLUEBEAM.
