The User Support Group is looking for an experienced Support Specialist to maintain MDT server and agency desktop images, migration of desktops to a new Active Director Domain, setup of WSUS and very familiar with all aspects if Amazon WorkSpace.

NCDES needs a contractor that can create and modify scripts within VS Code and Powershell to automate processes. They have a MDT server that has their software and images housed on it and they push out images and software from this. The last contractor they had, created the scripts to automate pushing the software out to desktops and laptops and was also very helpful and modifying them as requested. This process will require someone that is proficient in scripting processes within Windows. They also have users utilizing Amazon Workspaces and scripting was also used in automating processes within the workspace.

Division of Employment Security (DES), User Support Group is looking for an experienced Support Specialist to maintain MDT server and agency desktop images, migration of desktops to a new Active Directory Domain, setup of WSUS (Windows Server Update Services) and very familiar with all aspects of Amazon WorkSpace creation, manipulation of images and creating new images. Expert in ability to create and manipulate existing Scripts to automate various aspects of desktop support. The primary function of this position will be to manipulate and create scripts and help in setting up the WSUS and keep Amazon Workspace updated and running efficiently. The Support Specialist / WSUS and Amazon Workspace Technician must possess knowledge of various Microsoft solutions, LAN/WAN administration and overall systems administration. The ideal candidate would be a professional, detail oriented and self-motivated individual who excels at completing tasks successfully and efficiently. Project length 1 year.

Responsibilities:
• Keep MDT server updated with all drivers and software needed for existing images and troubleshoot any current and future issues. (75%)
• Provide documentation of any work performed on assigned tasks. (5%)
• Provide technical support to end users when need for current images and workspace images. (5%)
• Ability to troubleshoot and communicate escalations to senior resources. (5%)
• Actively participate in planning, coordinating, and implementing updating of Windows operating systems and applications for clients (5%)
• Knowledge transfer to existing USG staff (5%)
