Business Analyst with use cases, workflow, GUI/UI design, MS Visio/Project and documentation experience

Location: Austin TX (DPS)
Duration: 6 months

Minimum Requirements:

8 Identifies and documents business processes and system requirements and produces functional and technical specifications as required. Facilitates meetings with the business subject matter experts’ or end users to formulate business strategies and requirements and translate client needs into actionable system requirements.
8 Elicits requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.

8 Evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, decomposes high-level information into details, abstracts up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguishes user requests from the underlying true needs.

8 Coordinates, conducts, and documents requirements gathering sessions with end users, project stakeholders and development team(s).
8 Ability to communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: (Functional requirements; Business Requirements Documents), iii. Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs).
5 Skill in utilizing productivity tools including Visio, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel.
4 Drafting and presenting DIR Major Information Resource Project (MIRP) documentation and requirements.

• Review, analyses, and refine currently identified business and technical specifications for a new License to Carry Handgun (LTC) and Capitol Access Pass (CAP) licensing, registration, payment, and regulation system.
• Discover, define, and document specifications necessary for a successful Texas technology solicitation through research, meetings, information coordination, and documentation of findings and results.
• Compile, manage, and report all Texas Major Information Resource (MIRP) documentation and activities for the project.
• Work with stakeholders from various DPS Divisions / Groups and outside, contracted Vendors.
