We are looking for someone who understands and has experience with the software development lifecycle as they will be managing work requests to support operational support needs for web applications. This role is the liaison between the technical team and the business client. These are non-critical systems for MDE.

Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, agile practices, the ability to learn, and work as a member of a team ensures success in this position.
Tasks:
• Facilitates stand up meetings with the technical team and business client.
• Assist in gathering requirements and project specifications. Develops user stories in the change management tool (Microsoft DevOps)
• Manage project tasks, timelines, and communication between business product owner and development team associated with the Change Management lifecycle
• Ensures the team is adhering to the department change management policies
• Assist IT manager with State of Michigan project management tool, including project status reports and resource demand projections.
• Maintains documentation on the project SharePoint Site.
• Must be detail oriented.

Desired Education
Possession of a degree in Management Information Systems, Information Systems, or related field. Alternative Degrees and combination of work experience will be considered.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Associate degree and combination of education and experience that can be shown to provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.

Job Description:
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

•Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Experienced with business process reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective. Familiar with industry standard (including Legacy, Core, and Emerging technologies), business process mapping, and reengineering. Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
•Prepare and document Functional and Technical Specifications for reporting and data warehouse work. Assist with business warehouse/intelligence support and enhancements. Develops RFPs. Assist in deployment and management of end-user reporting tools and platforms. Work with IT and business project teams to understand reporting and data warehousing requirements and propose solutions. Document and provide knowledge transfer to the rest of the Enterprise Reporting Team for all solutions.
•Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
