Location: Indianapolis IN (Department of Environmental Management)
Duration: 12 months (W2 only)

Qualifications:
Prior BA experience (internship experience will sufficient if candidate has strong aptitude and desire to learn.)
Prior requirements gathering and documentation experience required
Prior process mapping experience required.
Strong MS Office suite experience required.
Understanding of discernment on matters of escalation and customer service;
Demonstrated openness to coaching and mentoring from more experienced and senior team members;
Ability to receive feedback and adjust style, behavior, and approach as needed;
Strong ability to work in dynamic environment with a heavy customer service orientation;
Ability to learn new systems quickly including new skills;
Self-motivated with strong inherent research and troubleshooting skills as well as keen attention to detail;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including interviewing, documentation as well as presenting to small and medium sized groups;
Ability to execute test plans and experience with quality
Ability to manage project activities using tools like Jira and SharePoint
Strong ability to quickly transition between tasks and systems;

Overview:
Knowledge Services has an exciting opportunity for an up and coming Business Analyst! Our Client, The State of Indiana is looking to add a Business Analyst to their team within the Department of Environmental Management. This is a contract to hire opportunity! Please see below for more details.

This person will help provide support and administration for the agency’s databases and information systems for new enterprise implementation projects and existing systems for the IDEM Modernization program. Position may serve as a liaison and interface between the IT and Program area teams. Primary responsibilities include soliciting business requirements and translating to technical system specifications.

Responsibilities:
Business Analyst Responsibilities will include:
Assist with providing project level analysis including producing required project analysis documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, UAT plan);
Assist with eliciting and clearly documenting business and systems requirements;
Interview business experts to elicit requirements using interviews, participating in requirements workshops, and business process documentation that describe use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task, and workflow analysis;
Assist with critically reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems as well as business requests and user needs to determine feasibility including distinguishing user requests from underlying exact needs;
Assist in ensuring that any new software integration into company business system meets functional requirements, system compliance, and system specifications;
