ABOUT THE ROLE
The focus of this position is to work closely and partner with both business stakeholders and technical resources to prioritize, manage, troubleshoot and implement small to medium-size enhancements and defect fixes across a portfolio of approximately 50+ in-house developed applications. As a Senior Business Systems Analyst on the team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the business need is well understood, documented, and communicated to the technical resources who are responsible for the implementation and validation of new functionary or the resolution of defects and issues. In addition, the analyst will be responsible for mentoring and assisting junior members of the team as they work to grow their BSA skillset.

BSA Role Qualifications:
– Experience performing & appropriately scaling BSA-related tasks & activities for work efforts of various sizes (from small maintenance items and defects to large projects)
– Demonstrate flexibility in dealing with shifting priorities and the ability to manage and balance multiple assignments at the same time.
– Comfort in interacting with, setting expectations, and resolving requirements & prioritization conflicts with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
– Formulates and documents well-formed user stories with detailed acceptance criteria
– Effectively used various elicitation techniques (JAD sessions, interviews, surveys, shadowing, etc.) to ensure that the true business need and intent is understood and well documented
– Partners with technical and quality assurance resources to ensure that requirements are implemented and tested per the acceptance criteria
– Able to assist product owners or other key stakeholders with UAT planning and execution
– Experience in mentoring and providing guidance and direction to Jr. BSAs on the team
– Experience making recommendations to business stakeholders on best practices and potential process improvements
– Experience creating and maintaining source to target data maps
– Demonstrated excellent meeting facilitation and time management during the course of assignments
– Ability to break-down BSA activities into relevant tasks and provide estimates for completion
– Experience as a BSA on agile, waterfall and hybrid agile-waterfall methodologies
– 7+ years’ experience in the business system analysis industry
– Willingness to work in a collaborative environment
– Excellent communication, training and speaking skills.
