Minimum Requirements:
Years Skills/Experience
8 Experience testing all aspects of web-based applications; UI, database, batch, web service
8 Experience in formulating test scenarios, creating detailed test cases, and performing manual application testing within a complex software environment
5 Ability to work in a team environment and interact with a diverse level of staff to exchange and/or extract information
5 Experience developing, maintaining, and upgrading test cases using HP ALM
5 Experience creating and maintaining defects using HP ALM
5 Experience with MS Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, etc.)
5 Experience setting up test data using SQL and PL/SQL
2 Experience testing data conversions
1 Experience testing web services and batch processes using various toolsets

Preferences:
Years Skills/Experience
3 Working knowledge of Browser testing tools
3 Working knowledge of SharePoint
1 Working knowledge of Test Automation (Selenium, LoadRunner, Accessibility testing) and the ability to troubleshoot integrations with HP ALM

The DFPS Information Resource Management (IT Division) seeks a worker(s) to perform in a Test Automation Analyst role to assist in planning and coordinating continued modernization development activities for the DFPS complex casework system. The worker will work with technical teams comprising of technical team leads, developers, UX engineers, and technical/functional testing analysts. The worker will elicit details and document test automation requirements for projects focused on continuing modernization activities of existing DFPS Enterprise Java web applications including IMPACT, PEIRS, SSCC, Child Placement Portal, Incentives and Remedies and Community Based Care. The worker will also work in concert with various technical leads (e.g., PMO, CTO, and Systems Development Resources) to prioritize assigned work and develop recommendations, options, and/or alternatives as required.

Work involves the following:
The Software Test Automation Analyst will assist in the implementation, development, use of and training for automation testing tools including Selenium and/or LoadRunner. They will work in collaboration with development teams to ensure DFPS business needs are reflected in the quality and usability of software code that is developed and deployed. Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and both written and verbal communications skills with software testing experience are necessary. Software testing automation will involve working with the IT project team as well as program staff at DFPS.

The services to be provided include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Implementation, use of and training for automated testing tools including Selenium and/or LoadRunner.
• Developing and maintaining test cases for integration, data conversion and system testing.
• Developing, maintaining, and upgrading automated test scripts.
• Reviewing, analyzing and executing automated test cases.
• Working with project Business Analyst to correctly interpret business processes and requirements.
• Working with QA Lead to determine assignments and deadlines.
• Creating, maintaining and testing of application defects within HP ALM.
• Use of the complete MS Office suite.
• Other duties as assigned.
