Experience in coaching Agile technical practices (TDD, BDD, ATDD etc..) Required 8 Years
Hands on working experience in Scrum/Kanban and knowledge of other structured PM methodologies(Waterfall/PMI) Required 8 Years
Demonstrated skills in the software development process (version control, use case, requirements, design, coding, and unit test). Required 8 Years
Demonstrated experience using analytical and creative problem solving skills; ability to multi-task and handle a large amount of detail. Required 8 Years
Deep understanding of methods of automated software testing and appreciation for rigor in quality assurance Required 8 Years
Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously without impact to quality of work. Highly desired
Experience with software end user change management strategy and execution. Highly desired
Strong risks and business impact analysis and reporting skills. Highly desired

NC DHHS requires the services of an Agile Lead Practitioner (ALP), with experience in transforming teams and organization to Agile delivery model. ALP will execute the Agile transformation strategies defined by the executive leadership team.

Guide and coach the adoption and scaling of Agile practices and principles across the organization. Hands on coaching, both at a team and at an organizational level across multiple DHHS teams, including Divisions, Business Stakeholders, portfolio/program teams and Executive Leadership teams. Guides the planning and execution of product development lifecycles for different business units.

Practice Lean-Agile coaching and support client’s Agile Transformation needs. Should be able to work as a team player in enabling people to understand and drive customer and business value while creating a healthy, portfolio/program & agile team culture.

Responsibilities:
-Assess the current organization and delivery environment Agile adoption readiness identifying enablers and blockers, and recommend optimal Agile practices tailored to the client
-Drives adoption of Agile practices, techniques, and frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, reducing the gap between agile theory and practice
-Coaches, mentors, and guides development teams in moving from waterfall to Agile delivery model and help team becoming self-sustaining, high performing agile teams
-Work with appropriate technical team to create and manage Kanban/Scrum boards in Jira
-Conduct agile ceremonies for the teams as needed
-Partners with other Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters across the organization to align and drive consistency and transparency throughout the organization
-Provides guidance in conducting Value Stream Mapping (VSM) activities for different business units and identifying capabilities
-Work with Product Managers/Portfolio Managers to guide developing roadmaps and release plans to implement capabilities
-Assist and help in creating Agile training materials
-Provide Training to teams using DHHS approved training materials
-Develops and communicate reporting metrics and/or program dashboards to stakeholders and leadership
-Partners with other Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters across the organization to align and drive consistency and transparency throughout the organization
-Coach Scrum Master’s, Product Owner’s, Development Team member’s, and be coachable
-Quickly establish collaborative partnerships and gain trust with key Business & IT Stakeholders and team members to help them in their journey of adopting Agile methodology
-Create and drive organization-wide portfolio/program Agile adoption strategy and rollout plans
Required Skills and Experience:
-5+ years’ experience executing Agile projects in large, complex environments, organization-wide portfolio/program Agile adoption strategy and rollout plans
-5+ years’ experience in coaching, mentoring, and training new Agile/Scrum teams
-5+ years of actual hands on Agile Transformation experience at portfolio/program level
-Experience with scaling using any Agile Framework highly preferred
-Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence
-Ability to build and maintain relationships with other groups within the organization
-Ability to cultivate collaboration
-Ability to manage expectations of various people internal and external to the team
-Flexibility to work with teams, individuals and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people
-Excellent interpersonal/communication, and conflict resolution skills
-Adaptive coaching style and the ability to work hands-on with teams in an advisor role with the ability to adapt based on the agile readiness of the team
-Enthusiastic and maintains a positive, high-energy attitude
-Drive for continuous learning
-Highly efficient in coaching Business, Stakeholders, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Team Members

-Coaching experience in a complex, large agile environment
